Tri-State Area Musical Collaboration of
Tsunami Disaster Relief Benefits.
New York- The NY NJ Blues Collective
Following the devastation caused by the recent earthquake and tsunami in the Indian Ocean a unified effort between area blues societies and individuals is taking place to benefit the relief efforts on behalf of the victims of this disaster. Fund raising events are taking place at certain locations throughout the tri-state area over the next few weeks with performers from New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut donating their time and talent in this truly humanitarian effort.
As of this writing, over ninety acts are scheduled to perform at eight venues with many more locations and artists in the process of firming things up. As soon as we receive word we will list the latest venues and performers who are signing up for this cause.
Shows will take place on Saturdays and Sundays from the end of January through early March. Ticket prices range between $10 and $20 and are available in advance or at the venues door.
All proceeds go to the victims of this catastrophic earthquake and tsunami through UNICEF, AMERICARES, SAVE THE CHILDREN, RELIEF INTERNATIONAL, and DIRECT RELIEF INTERNATIONAL.
